Michael Keaton's portrayal in "Birdman" is one of his most well-known film. As a versatile actor, he can perform comic and dramatic roles. In addition to playing characters with romantic appeal, he played in action films as well as thrillers. He was attracted to acting and performing when at the age of teen and tried his hand at stand-up comedy while a young man. The comedian had a lousy career, but it paved the way for his career as an actor. In order to be successful as a comedian, he got a job in the role of a cameraman with a local cable television station. When he was working for the television station realized he wanted to work in the front of cameras. When he was offered a part on television, he appeared in many seasons of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. It was no surprise that the actor quickly gained a following as a well-known TV actor. He launched an acting career in film with huge hopes and achieved a great deal of recognition for his comedic performances. Additional recognition was received as he played Batman's own hero as Tim Burton's Batman. With time he matured in his acting skills and ventured into production and direction. For his role in Birdman (2014) the actor won numerous awards and nominations.
